Independent, unbiased, and transparent

MerchantCompare ranks providers by actual cost to your business, not by who pays us. We compare 132 providers across 15 business services, from the big banks to independents and global platforms. No provider can pay for a higher ranking. If a cheaper option exists, our calculator shows it. Every price is shown in Australian dollars, including providers that bill in US dollars, so you compare like for like.

How we compare providers

$910M

Projected wholesale cost cut

RBA · March 2026

Australian merchants’ wholesale card costs fall by around $910 million a year

That’s the RBA’s estimate for its interchange caps, in the March 2026 conclusions paper. Wholesale is the operative word: the cut lands on what your provider pays, and reaches you only if you’re on the right pricing structure with the right provider.
